At Rights Respect Independence Connect (RRIC), we believe in building platforms of hope, support, and empowerment for women and children affected by domestic violence. Our mission has always been to bring communities together through social activities, education, and meaningful initiatives that foster safety, friendship, and resilience.
This week, we experienced a truly proud and humbling moment when our efforts were acknowledged in the NSW Parliament House. The Honourable Minister David Saliba mentioned the RRIC Walk for Freedom in his speech, recognising the importance of our work and the courage of the women and families who walk with us.
The Walk for Freedom is more than just an event—it is a symbol of unity and strength. It shines a light on the hidden struggles of domestic violence survivors while showing them they are not alone. To have this initiative recognised at such a significant level of government is both an honour and a validation of the impact our community is making together.
We are grateful to Minister Saliba for bringing attention to this cause in Parliament and for supporting the voices of women and children who deserve safety, dignity, and opportunity.
At RRIC, we remain committed to creating safe spaces, reducing isolation, and ensuring that every woman and child can walk in freedom with confidence and love.
✨ This recognition is not just for RRIC—it is for every survivor, every supporter, and every volunteer who continues to believe in the power of community and compassion.
